Birthday Boy!

after proving himself well in math in his home school
and was gratefully chosen to represent his school in the MACIPRISA
(Malolos City Private School Association)

this time he's competing for the regional finals of the
Metrobank-MTAP (math teachers association of the philippines) .

math is a complex thing for me when i was his age
knowing that he's a contender among
 the best in region III made me admire him even more.
he placed 5th in the individual category among the 18 divisions.

now on his senior year, rico never cease to amaze me with his accomplishments.
from being unknown in his class during his first year in high school

to the top of his batch . yes, accuse me of being proud, but my son is no.1 in his batch now...

i was happiest when at the end of a day he would hand me a medal that he won in a contest.
what a great reward for any parent to be called during a school recognition day.

im so elated that his potential was finally noticed and
so pleased with his mentors who nurtured him to shine.

now that you're 16, were trying to pave the way to your future,
grab all the opportunities  we can give.

All Girls Affair in Hong Kong

i think i have inherited my love for travel from my mom.
i have felt  my moms excitement the moment  i told her we were already booked for hong kong along with my three sisters.

this is a rare chance to be with all the girls..

more often we were always tied up with work and kids.
but i think we deserve a break too...
away from work, life and daily routines.

though mama has a problem on mobility we decided
to buy her  a portable scooter .

despite the hassle of getting a cab  and
not seeing each other on a designated time...

travelling together and having a good laugh about anything is just awesome.

I am so grateful for giving us a chance to travel with her.

I have realized the passing of generations...
Though our roles have reversed as we are now attending to her needs
i think this is one rare chance to "pay" back for all the sacrifices
she has done when we were young.

these are moments they say some people wait a lifetime...
that we're so blessed spending time with mama.
