Mrs Sto Nino Hospital

Last Saturday (Dec 22) we held our Annual Christmas Party at our newly opened Villa Rosalinda Events Venue. Everybody was excited as the highlight of the evening is the search for
Mrs Sto. Nino Hospital. Every Department has their  own representative for the event.

The contestants turned out to be inimitable and gamely did their part.  We were awed with enjoyment as they paraded on their national costume.

Crystallyne Ramos of Radiology  Department showed her curvaceous  body and  looked so poised and natural. She's a real beauty in and out.

Rhea Duenas of ER Dept surprised the audience as she did her fire dance supported by her equally artistic groupmates.  She truly deserved the Ms Talent award! Such a transformation from a simple nurse to a voluptous woman that night!

I liked the spirit of Ms Nida Lopez of OR DR Department as she tried her best to compete with the younger girls in the group and... she bested them by winning the first runner up.  Now I truly believe   that age is just a number.

The nursing group was represented by Ms Levi Brilliantes. She was like a walking barbie doll...elegant and eyecatching in every move. She also danced gracefully supported by her groupmates.

Ms. Jasmine Marquez of the Accounting Dept  was our Mrs SNH. She proved everybody that she is worthy of the title as she exudes radiance in almost all the categories. She is an epitome of a mother and career woman who takes care of her body  well.   Truly a delight  in every aspect. Hats off to you Jaja!

Worth mentioning is Mr Raymund Lazaro for his efforts in making this pageant another success.

Id like to make  special mention the participants of the talent portion for a job well done.  Ms Marife Maximo could have been a best actress if there is such a category.
Id like to thank Dra Liza for hosting the event ...whom at first I thought was a contestant too! she looked stunning....
Most Cordial Staff Award

Though toxic with hospital works I commend the staff who made this party a memorable one.  Id like to thank my mom... our medical directress who gave her unwavering support.

For me they were all stars of the night. Each one showed their talent and beauty in their own way.
Congratulations!

From our family....

Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year to all!!!

Awarded, Rewarded

Yesterday I attended the St. Mary's College of Baliwag Grand Reunion and Awards Night.

I was chosen as one of the 100 Alumni  Achievers  in celebration of our school's Centennial anniversary.

It feels ecstatic to be back to a place which  was once a big part of my life.
It was also good seeing schoolmates and teachers I have'nt seen since I graduated.

our Elementary teachers..

Everyone was so happy cheering loudly as our former teachers sang onstage.

Our school had emerged from a humble 3- storey building to a  one colossal campus.. with a newly built 5 high edifice equipped with an imperial auditorium and an elevator!! far different from what we had 30 years ago.

though faces were not familiar anymore , the warmth of their welcome  smile were enough  to make me feel like home once more.

who could forget Ms Herminia Demetrio, ( yes..still a 'miss') our Grade 6 adviser?she served for 42 years of unending and passionate teaching to her students..

it was a nostalgic night esp when we sang the school hymn...everyone was misty eyed.
forever i will be grateful to all the teachers and the RVM sisters.

with my favorite HS teacher Mrs Myrna Bondad
and best friend Maris Lazo

Congratulations to my Alma Mater on her 100 years!!!

I am a Marian

I spent most of my formative
years at St Mary's
....from kindergarten till high school .

i had fond memories of her.
the RVM sisters were like my second parents
the teachers were my counsels..
my classmates were my sisters...
their discipline,  camaraderie helped and
shaped me
for what i am today.

at a young age I learned the values of a true Marian...
truly devoted, God fearing and compassionate.
The character she had instilled in me
were like armor that I carried through my life.

i may have flaws, disappointments amd failures
but the Marian spirit in me kept me growing !

through the years i'll carry your name and
will always remember where i came from.
time may have passed and some of my hair turned gray
but forever id be grateful to my alma mater.

Happy 100 years!

Takbolusyon 2

Literally...time runs so fast!

Its our towns 2nd fun run and everybody is getting enthusiastic..
This time we had  a 10K run.

I enjoyed my run today because I got to appreciate my envirovment.
Plants and trees were like greeters along the way.
It was also exciting seeing new runners.

Bonus part is I got the second place in womens category.
It was an improvement of my last years 3rd place.

Congratulations to all runners!

Alas!ka

alas.! wer in alaska

never been in this place in  the farthest northern hemisphere of the earth, til now..
so cool ( literally and  figuratively)
a place u would think neglected, but gives u amazing sceneries...
of course, u expect ice.. really, ice for the eyes
then glaciers of tons of ice..atop the magnificent mountains n alps.
the majestic fjords and bigger chunks of post- avalanch ice formations
still more ice! waterfalls with shining ice beneath ...
century-old miniature seemingly floating herons formed from gentle waves..

alas.!wer in tracy arms
after two days of thousand waves, we arrived at this cul de sac of mountain range
this place is just a step close to the arctic! so temp here is freezing...
of balding mountains stripped- off with green pines getting ready for the winter chills
waves are nil, clouds are at hand, birds are extinct
the whole haven is in quiescent mode...

alas.! wer in juneau
the first on- ground trip of this 1 wk cruise, we arrived in juneau...
contnuous rains,store hopping, endless souvenirs...
jewlries,knives,keychains!!(what else)

most striking but not unusual are most crew staffs queue in money transfer nooks
to remit their hard earned wages back home ... i saw 800,1k, up to 18oo greens...
well, one of the many ironies of life..some would dole out thousand bucks after 2 winks all for luxury.. while others "40winks" would not suffice NOT for them but for their families :(

alas.! wer in sitka
a more quiet place than juneau... with scattered islets each with heaps of trees...
with abundant water both from above and below, we had a hard time transporting from the vessel to the main island as it is far from the shore.

i cant forget the early morning scene...so serene.

alas.! wer in ketchikan
we chanced up a very fine weather which is very rare according to our host, a very close family friend who met us by the pier...

this place is a lot better than the previous ones...with lots of shops i would scout on.
we rode a taxi( with taxing fare.?!) but the driver is worth it.. an alaskan native ,
burly  woman with lots - o- laugh!!

the house was a sight to behold..with opulent posh cars

and a glass covered veranda overlooking a placid river...

but of course a sumptuous lunch awaits us to include fresh  shrimps, lavish pink salmons, salads and native kebabs!whatah...
ketchikan is a clean, serene town...

alas.! wer in victoria
the last of the destinations before we go back where we jumped off.
victoria hid her grandiosity as we arrived in the evening but nevertheless the blooming assortment of its flowers shone through bright colorful lights...
the edifices would remind you of the great european architectures , the empress hotel was lovely and marvelous with its nature- laden facade..everywhere . victoria....im glad we have the same name.

this alaskan tour is indeed a stirring unforgettable experience having spent time with my husband and of course

..bonding with my mom and sisters...tes and mafe.

..... life is when you find warmth amidst  the cold and nippy   ALASKA!!

Villa Rosalinda

Of all the ventures I've entered in my life

this project of mine is most heartwarming because
I dedicated it in honor of my mom and in fact was named after her...

The place is conveniently located at the heart of Bustos.
It is just few steps away from the municipal hall.

We have started the renovation  early this year
and we're almost finished.
...the place is nestled on a 3000 sq  meters land area with a house and  a sprawling garden.

This is an EVENTS VENUE open to the public.
We have two pavilions and garden settings for a party.

The house is also fully furnished with hotel like amenities.
Were still working on the final touches.

Hope I could see you all here in our place...
Soon to be yours too.

We're now accepting reservations!

rainy days

"Rain rain go away come again another day
Little children wants to play"

I always remeber this rhyme whenever I hear the hush of rain.

Though I  really love sunny days...
a rainy experience is something Id like to remember as years go by.

This is the front of our old house where I spent my childhood days
and this is how it looked during rainy days.

This afternoon as heavy rain fell in my parents home
It felt wonderful that my niece n nephews also played in the rain.

Gone were the days we used to ran and shower through the rain..
But its really a circle of life as our children enjoy what we once had fun doing.
